Against the Clock: Speed Training in Library and Information Science Education

We may not always like the speed of today’s world, but we still need to prepare students for working in a fast-paced environment. In library and information science (LIS) professions today, deadlines are becoming ever shorter, yet research into effects time pressure LIS is scarce. This pilot project aims develop test speed-training program improve students’ ability work under pressure. An experiment conducted where control group receive no training while experimental complete exercises. Students provide feedback through surveys focus group. The results suggest that can help learn more quickly feel positively about training. Therefore, it be worth including explicit exercises programs.
